About Us
Meet Our Studio’s Owner, Ava Donaldson
Ava has worked in the Health and Fitness Industry for 28 years. Prior to that, she was a Physical Education teacher and a Track and Field Athletics Coach. She is a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Youth Exercise Specialist, Kickboxing Specialist, and Group Exercise Instructor (NASM/ AFAA). She holds Pilates certifications for Reformer, Tower, Cadillac & Trapeze as well as Mat Pilates from Balance Body and Polstar. She has been teaching Pilates for 25 years. She has graduate degrees in Exercise Science/Rehabilitation Sciences as well as pharmaceutical sciences/pharmacology. She describes herself as a "servant-leader" for whom health and fitness is a "calling"- her purpose on earth. She listens closely to what her clients want to get from their training programs and effectively guides them toward reaching their fitness goals.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide our clients with evidence-based Personal training, Corrective exercise, Pilates Reformer, Chair, Tower, and Trapeze training programs. Through these modalities, we can improve their cardiorespiratory health, muscular strength, muscular endurance, balance, coordination, core strength, and flexibility. We aim to improve our clients’ athletic performance, markers for cardiorespiratory health, reduce risks of injury, and improve daily function and quality of life. Our comprehensive static, postural and functional assessments allow us to customize each client's training to correct muscular imbalances, postural deviations, and movement impairments.
