PILATES TRAINING

CORRECTIVE EXERCISE TRAINING
For clients with muscular imbalances and impairments, we provide a corrective exercise training program based on a thorough postural, transitional, and functional assessment.
SMALL GROUP CLASSES
YOGA
HATHA YOGA
Involves physical movement and breathing exercises with a meditative tone. It seeks to unite the mind and body and moves at a pace suitable for all who practice but is especially suited for beginners. Setting an intention in each class, and looking inward to ignite that intention, is the goal of each class. While strengthening every muscle, you are guided through a journey that involves aligning your heart, mind, and body to become the best you on and off the mat !
VINYASA FLOW
This practice involves many of the same poses found in the Hatha Yoga class but moves at a pace that can give you a heart-pumping workout. The poses are strung together, so they flow one into the other. Like all Yoga styles, it relieves stress and improves physical and psychological well-being.
PILATES MAT WITH/WITHOUT PROPS
Mat Pilates strengthens and lengthens the extremities while significantly increasing core (the muscles that stabilize the spine) strength. This type of training leads to improved core strength, improved coordination, improved posture, improved respiratory function, improved muscular endurance, and improvement in balance and prevention of injury. Attention is paid to the control of the breath and utilizing that control to facilitate and increase the effectiveness of the exercises. Props such as the Pilates circle, mini bands, and foam roller are used to accentuate the exercises, thereby providing additional benefits. This format was first developed by Joseph Pilates and included a repertoire of over 500 exercises.
STEP AEROBICS
Fun moderately intense cardiovascular exercise which involves stepping up and down off a low platform. Can be made low impact by eliminating the platform.
KICKBOXING
Stimulating, fun cardiovascular workout which draws from martial arts and boxing. Routines are modified to fit all fitness levels.
ZUMBA
Exhilarating, fun, intermittent, Latin-based dance cardio with an international flair. Everyone is encouraged to find their own rhythm in the music. All fitness levels are welcome.
